Who needs horses - Lets Party!
Despite the impact of the Equine Influenza the 2007 races continued
on the long established tradiiton of a great week for all involved.
Approximately 3000 racegoers still made the trek to the famous
Birdsville Racecourse on the first Saturday in September for a "Phantom
Raceday". Sure, the real horses weren't on display but the crowds were
entertained with live music, wheelie bin races, novelty events and even
an ironman competition.
Hopefully we'll see you all again in 2008.
As the saying goes; the dust never settles in Birdsville.
